J&K Govt Announces Transfer and Posting of Tehsildars

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Revenue Department, has issued a significant order regarding the transfer and posting of Tehsildars, along with assigning the Lookafter charge of Tehsildar to Naib Tehsildars.

This move, effective immediately, aims to streamline administrative operations within the region.

The order, numbered 32-JK(Rev) of 2024 and dated February 28, 2024, outlines the transfers and postings as follows:

Mr. Mohd. JrJKAS has been transferred to the Special Tribunal in Jammu from his current position. Mr. Kashyp Pandita, JKAS, will now serve in the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board after his transfer from the Office of CS&LR, J&K. Mr. Nayeim Iqbal Sheikh, Jr. JKAS, is appointed as the Deputy Public Relations Officer in Jammu, succeeding in his new role from his previous assignment.

Additionally, several other officers have been transferred and posted to different districts and positions, aiming to enhance operational efficiency across various departments.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that the transfers from Serial Number 21 to 27 are made on an exigent basis, solely in the interest of administration. These transfers do not confer any preferential rights for promotion as Tehsildars and are subject to relevant rules and any pending writ petitions or court orders.

All the officers affected by these transfers are expected to report to their new places of posting without delay, ensuring a seamless transition in their duties.
